About VHRC
Veteran Housing and Recovery Center is a veteran-led nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness and supporting recovery. We provide transitional housing, sober living, and crisis support to veterans who have given everything — and deserve a real path forward.
Our mission
The Veteran Housing and Recovery Center exists because too many veterans come home to find that the hardest battle is the one waiting for them here. Homelessness, addiction, and isolation claim veterans at rates that are unacceptable — and preventable.
Our mission is to provide stable housing, structured recovery support, and genuine community to veterans navigating these challenges. We are veteran-operated, community-funded, and unconditionally committed to the people we serve.
Get Help NowFounded and operated by service-disabled veterans. Every decision we make is informed by the lived experience of those who served.
We treat every veteran who walks through our doors with the respect and dignity they earned. No judgment — only support.
Recovery happens in community. Our programs are built around peer support, shared accountability, and genuine human connection.
Stable housing is not a reward for recovery — it is the foundation that makes recovery possible. We believe that unconditionally.
Our story
VHRC was founded in 2026 by service-disabled veterans who had witnessed firsthand the gap between the support veterans are promised and the reality they face after service. The founders knew that good intentions weren't enough — what veterans needed was a structured, dignified, veteran-run organization built specifically for them.
From day one, every staff member, every program, and every decision has been shaped by people who have worn the uniform. We speak the language. We understand the culture. And we are not going anywhere.
