Our approach
Veterans face unique barriers to stable housing — the transition from military to civilian life, the weight of service-connected trauma, and systems that weren't built with them in mind. Our programs are.
Whether you need a safe place tonight, a structured environment to rebuild, or a permanent home, we have a program that fits. All programs require a sober, drug- and alcohol-free commitment. Monthly rent is approximately $700–$1,200, typically covered through VA housing benefits or HUD-VASH.
Three programs
Transitional Housing
Our transitional housing program provides furnished, safe housing for veterans who need time and structure to stabilize their lives. Residents receive peer support, connections to employment and VA benefits, and help getting to appointments — everything needed to move toward permanent, independent housing.
Permanent Supportive Housing
For veterans who need long-term housing stability, our permanent supportive housing program offers a place to live without a time limit. Residents maintain a sober, drug-free environment and pay monthly rent — typically covered through VA housing benefits or HUD-VASH vouchers.
Emergency Bridge Housing
No veteran should spend a night on the street. Our emergency bridge housing program provides immediate, short-term shelter for veterans in crisis — no lengthy paperwork, no waiting period. From the moment you arrive, our team begins working on a longer-term housing plan with you.
Our commitment
VHRC is a 100% veteran-operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every decision is made by people who have worn the uniform and understand what it takes to rebuild.
VHRC is a new organization. We are open and accepting veterans now.
